Pakistanis won laurels at First Asian African Youth festival held in Beijing, China on July 27.
A delegation of 10 Pakistanis participated in the event. 29 other countries also participated at the event for a phenomenal experience to exchange cultures.
The Asian African Youth Festival was conducted by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League and All China Federation. The main purpose of the conference was to keep the Bandung spirit of solidarity, friendship and cooperation alive. It also strived to promote brotherhood and collaboration between Asian and African Youth.
Along with cultural exchange they focused on global peace and had discussions on various topics. The delegates had an insight into the Chinese culture and the way they have preserved their heritage. Moreover, the delegates attended a lecture on China’s National Conditions and “One Belt, One Road” initiatives. To instill harmony among each other the delegates were encouraged to work together as a team whether it was in the form of sports activities or humming together in the busses.
They came together to develop a community of shared destiny for Asia and Africa.
