Members of the TORs committee will meet National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on Tuesday (August 9).
The meeting to be held in the speaker’s chamber at 3pm will try to sort out the differences between the government and opposition members of the committee on the formulation of Terms of Reference (TORs) for investigation into Panama Leaks.
The opposition parties, including PTI and PPP, have been stressing for the acceptance of their TORs while the government is arguing for arriving at a consensus on the issue.
Due to non acceptance of their TORs, the PTI has announced to take to the streets to launch an “anti-corruption movement”, starting August 7, to protest against the government’s failure to carry out a probe into the Panama leaks.
