Qandeel murder case: passport, mobile phone recovered from cousin

Mobile phone and passport of the slain internet sensation Qandeel Baloch have been recovered from the possession of her cousin, accused in her murder case, Haq Nawaz.

The investigation officer in Qandeel Baloch’s murder case has informed the court that the mobile phone and passport of the slain model were recovered from her cousin – who allegedly helped prime accused Waseem Ahmed in the honour killing.

The mobile phone was dispatched to the company concerned for retrieval of data.

Earlier, the culprit in the case Waseem, younger brother of late Baloch underwent a polygraph test in Lahore during which he stated that he grabbed her arms while his cousin, Haq Nawaz strangled her to death.

She was killed in her house in Multan on July 16.

Moreover, Waseem and Haq Nawaz fled the crime scene late that night but were arrested within days following the murder.

Father of slain social media celebrity Qandeel Baloch has filed an application with the police seeking a FIR against another son of his in the murder case.

A brother and cousin of the model are already in police custody.

Her father filed an application seeking the FIR against his second son Arif, who is currently settled in Saudi Arabia. The complainant took the plea that Arif incited Waseem and Haq Nawaz to kill Qandeel.
