PM meets Achakzai, Bizenjo and Sherpao; discusses political situation

After holding a meeting with members of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Parliamentary Party the other day, the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif met leaders of the parties supporting his government. He discussed the political situation in the country in the context of opposition’s threat of protests after a failure of the opposition benches in the parliament to reach an agreement on TORs for investigation in Panama Leaks.

Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) Chief Mahmood Khan Achakzai, Balochistan National Party (BNP) President Mir Hasil Bizenjo and Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) Chief Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao  met Sharif at the PM House today (Friday).

Sources said that national affairs and political matters were discussed during the meeting. Law and order situation and developmental schemes pertaining to Balochistan also came under discussion in the meeting.

The prime minister reiterated his government’s resolve to extend the agenda of development to all parts of the country.

“The people of Balochistan will reap the benefits of the ongoing mega projects including the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in the province,” he said.

Sharif further stated that collective efforts have resulted into a stable and peaceful Balochistan.

Achakzai and Bizenjo appreciated the prime minister for his keen interest in the development of the country, particularly Balochistan, and hoped that the implementation of CPEC would bring a revolution in the province. They assured support to the PM in the implementation of his agenda.

During the meeting with Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao, national affairs and political situation in the country were discussed.
