PIA’s Hajj flights off to Saudi Arabia from Lahore, Karachi

Pakistan International Airlines’ (PIA) pre-Hajj operation started from Lahore and Karachi Saturday morning as PK-759 carrying 265 intending pilgrims departed from Lahore for Jeddah while PK-715 left Karachi for Medina Munawara carrying 329 intending pilgrims.

Yousuf Waqar, a PIA board member, saw off the intending pilgrims at the Lahore airport, while senior PIA management saw off other pilgrims at other airports.

PIA pre-Hajj operation has already started from Islamabad, Peshawar and Quetta from Friday morning. In all, six flights have been operated by the national flag carrier as yet, transporting more than 1500 intending pilgrims.

During the pre-hajj operation PIA will operate more than 265 special and scheduled flights to Saudi Arabia from 10 cities of Pakistan carrying more than 51,000 intending pilgrims.
