Former President and All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) Chief Pervez Musharraf said he, PTI Chairman Imran Khan and PAT head Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri have the same strategic thinking that ‘change’ is vital for Pakistan.
Addressing a press conference here the other day, the APML chief said his political party has spread throughout the country and would participate in the 2018 general elections. “I undertook no political activities in Dubai; instead, I just meet my friends,” he clarified.

Rubbishing the reports that the Pakistan Army is running the government, Musharraf said, “It is the government that is running its affairs on its own accord, regardless good or bad. Every institution should work in proper fashion, else, other players will chime in.”
Replying to a query regarding Rangers powers in Sindh, he said the paramilitary force is indispensable for Karachi, as police according to him cannot function there. “Deaths in the megacity may drop by 60 to 70 per cent if political parties are well monitored,” he claimed.
MR former President, when you agreed to and empowered an NRO for the sake of your own power, giving immunity to past criminals and their crimes, you in essence let a flock of wolves lose on the long suffering masses. It was the biggest act of treason against the people of Pakistan. Instead of sacrificing your own power for a prosperous and peaceful life abroad, you sacrificed the country and the people instead. You had the choice of disappearing from the scene after establishing an able and honest government of technocrats, it is quite possible, this government would have enabled the requirements and removed the hurdles for a proper democracy to take over the reins of power. You had a unique chance to make history for which you would be remembered by generations to come, but you chose to disgrace yourself, your army, your country and its people for your greed for power.
