Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has summoned a crucial meeting of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s Joint Parliamentary Party on Thursday (today).
The important party meeting has been scheduled at a time when the PML-N’s federal government and major opposition parties of the countries are expected to resume talks on the infamous Panama Leaks scandal.
The meeting, convened at 11 am, will be attended by party prominent officials, including Members of National Assembly, Members of Provincial Assemblies and senators from across the four provinces.
Party legislators from Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan would also be in attendance during the meeting.
Sources close to the PML-N said that the main focus of the meeting would remain on formulating a plan on Panama leaks following a meeting between government and opposition parties in the next few days.
Meanwhile, other internal matters of the party would also come under discussion, they said.
