Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari Sindh has directed Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah to give approval for extending Rangers’ policing powers throughout Sindh, a private TV channel reported.
The chief minister left for Dubai soon after he arrived in Karachi from Larkana. Former president and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Zardari had summoned him to Dubai where the two held a meeting. According to reports, matters pertaining to Rangers’ powers in Sindh and prevailing political situation in the province were discussed during the meeting.
Another TV channel reported that Sharjeel Memon is also likely to assume a key position soon. The channel said the rifts in party ranks have deepened.The chief minister reportedly said during the meeting that he would establish good governance under the leadership of Asif Ali Zardari.He pledged to serve the people of the province and strengthen his party.The chief minister postponed his trip to Sehwan and flew to Dubai after receiving a call from Zardari.
