Two robbers killed in Karachi, policeman injured

As many as two robbers were gunned down by unknown men at Nazimabad Urdu Bazaar.

According to the police officials, the alleged robbers were coming towards a shop with the intention of a robbery when they were shot dead.

Deputy Inspector General of Police West Zulfiqar Larak said that two different statements had come forward about the incident.

In the first a shopkeeper shot dead the two men. In the second statement unidentified men in a car opened fire at the men.

Police seized the weapon and motor bike of the alleged robber.

The investigation is underway.

In a separate incident an alleged robber was shot dead by police during a shootout at Safoora. His accomplice fled, police said.

Malir Senior Superintendent of Police Rao Anwar said that the alleged robbers were looting citizens. A policeman was injured when the alleged terrorists opened fired at the police. Weapons and a motorbike were recovered from them.
