Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice-Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi has rejected the rumours regarding quitting the party and termed them as an attempt to weaken the party’s stance about the movement being launched against the government from August 7.

Addressing a ceremony in New York on Sunday, Qureshi said that political rivals terrified of PTI’s growing popularity among the masses, especially youth, have started hatching conspiracies and were using different tactics to create uncertainty among the PTI leadership, activists and supporters.

He said PTI’s efforts were aimed at unveiling the corruption of the ruling leadership. He however clarified that his party’s campaign would not be against democracy.

Qureshi, while congratulating the elected members of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), also expressed the hope that the coming elections would be transparent and fair.
