The Younis Stadium in Mardan is no longer attracting sports men of the area because the stadium is covered by drug addicts and garbage dampers. The nearby people throw garbage on the stadium, so the sportsmen fail to carry out sports related activities. Once the stadium was well-known for sports – even night tournaments were held during the summer and Ramazan. Due to lack of attention from government’s side, the drug abusers never feel fear and using the ground for their own purpose. The drug addicts have destroyed and infected several youth live. The sportsmen in Mardan have exclaimed that they would raise voice for the stadium to resolve the glory of the stadium. I would like to request the concerned authorities to provide every kind of facilities for Younis Stadium and give freedom to sportsmen to play.
