A Pakistan-born UK national woman died due to alleged negligence of doctors on Monday. A protest was held against administration of the hospital.
According to details, Farzana, 40, who had come to Pakistan to meet his brother and sisters residing in Jhelum was shifted to Civil Hospital after she fell ill and later died. Family members of the deceased alleged that she died due to the non-availability of oxygen in the hospital.
The heirs of the deceased staged protest demonstration against the hospital’s administration and held it responsible for the death. They alleged that the lady doctor at the duty did not take the patient seriously and she remained busy in gossips on telephone instead of treating the patient.
Medical Superintendent (MS) of the hospital, Dr. Shaukat Mehmood taking the notice of the incident, has constituted a three-member inquiry committee which will submit its report on Tuesday (today).
Lack of accountability & responsibility everywhere. Majority of the people are earning haram and then feeding their families! What a pathetic state of affairs. All due to corruption in the society due to inept & corrupt governments (current & past).
