Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah is truly a role model for the women of Pakistan because she not only worked for creating awareness among women but also fought a hard battle alongside his brother Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah to make the dream of making a new country Pakistan a reality.
These views were expressed by Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PMLQ) Women Wing President Farukh Khan at a function organised by the party women wing on Saturday to observe the 124th birth anniversary of Madar-e-Millat Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah.
She said that Fatima Jinnah was the torchbearer of women’s rights who gave a broad vision for empowerment and welfare of women.
She said that Fatima Jinnah, right from the very start, fought the battle of making a new country known to be Pakistan with his brother Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
The women wing president said that Fatima Jinnah campaigned alongside her brother and was instrumental in rallying female support behind Quaid-e-Azam, adding that she proved to be a source of great strength and support for her brother.
The life of Fatima Jinnah is a role model for the women of Pakistan because she was at the top of all women who struggled for the creation of Pakistan, she added.
She went on saying that throughout her life, she fought a hard battle for democracy and supremacy of role of law, adding that it was her commitment and resolve that democracy exists in Pakistan today.
“Fatima Jinnah is truly a role model for Pakistani and Muslim women because it was she who played an active role in awakening the Muslim women,” she maintained.
She said that Fatima Jinnah is a source of inspiration for women and women of Pakistan should follow her footprints and should take firm stand on the issues relating to women rights.
Begum Farukh urged the women in PMLQ to follow Fatima Jinnah’s way of life so as to make Pakistan a truly democratic and welfare state envisioned by Madar-e-Millat.
