Beyonce is reportedly gunning for Oprah Winfrey’s almighty throne by launching her own TV network.
You might think Queen Bey has enough on her plate, with an all-conquering music career, dabbling in acting and her own fashion range, but turns out she’s only just started getting herself into Formation.
According to The Sun, the US superstar is looking to follow Oprah’s footsteps by creating her own TV channel with her management firm Parkwood, which she aims to get operational over the next decade.
But will it be your usual run of sitcoms, talk shows, and Beyhive service announcements?
Nope, apparently the channel will have an educational spin which will include documentaries about African and American history.
Speaking to the paper, an insider said: ‘She [Beyonce] intends to create her own TV network just like Oprah.’
‘Her entertainment company Parkwood is doing very well and her desire are to create a network so she can have the freedom to bring the ideas of her closest creative friends to life,’ added the source.
‘The plan is to develop it within the next decade,’ they added.
Frankly, we’ll be happy with a ‘how to’ broadcast on shaking our caboose like the best popstar on the planet – our Friday nights would be a MUCH better place.
Beyonce is also rumoured to be recording an album with her husband Jay Z, which might give his views on the infidelity allegations made on Beyonce’s latest album, Lemonade.
