A young doctor was found dead mysteriously in Medical Unit-II of Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) on Friday morning.
Sources at CHK told PPI that the body of Dr Aneel Kumar was found from the hospital’s Medical Unit-II. He was posted as house officer in the night shift in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), he added.
According to the initial reports, Kumar committed suicide by injecting poisonous substance into his body, however, real reason behind his suicide could not be ascertained yet.
The sources said a staff of hospital knocked at the door of doctor’s room, but nobody opened it after which the door was opened with the staff’s help, and Anil was found dead inside the room.
The dead was moved to his home town after completing legal formalities. Additional Medical Superintendent, CHK, Dr Abdul Qadir Siddiqui, was not available for comments.
