Rana Ilmudin stated that the army chief had eliminated 90% terrorists through Zarb-e-Azb operation and, therefore, extension in the service tenure of army chief and corps commanders was inevitable.
“The COAS also inflicted damage on the corrupt elements. Hence it has become inevitable to extend the tenure of the incumbent army chief and corps commander”, said the petition.
It further pleaded that order should be passed to give four-year extension in the service tenure of army chief and corps commanders in the best interest of the nation and country.
