Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Tuesday announced interim organisational structure for the party, adding that improved party elections will also take place.
The PTI chief said that the new setup is temporary and that improved party elections will be held.
Office bearers of four regions of Punjab have been appointed, according to an official notification issued by the PTI chairman.
As per the notification, Amir Kiyani has been appointed as the office-bearer for Northern Punjab and Aleem Khan for the Central Region. Chaudhary Muhammad Ishfaq will oversee the western part of the province while Ishaq Khakwani will be looking after affairs of the southern region.
The decision to appoint new members comes on the back of the party chairman’s warning to dissident groups within the party to either remain loyal to the PTI or part ways with it.
