Jhelum Assistant Commissioner (AC) Kanwal Batool confiscated 29,200 litres of adulterated milk on Tuesday.
According to the reports, the milk was being smuggled into the city from the neighbouring Mandi Bahauddin district.
It was being transported in trucks and small tankers when the local administration, led by the AC, initiated raids at midnight that continued until the morning.
All trucks and tankers supplying milk to Jhelum were intercepted and samples checked on the spot. Most of the samples were found mixed with water and detergent.
AC Kanwal said the action against adulterated milk was taken on public complaints and would continue regularly.
