Not afraid of the “K” word

The statement of the prime minister about Kashmir is truly aligned with the sentiments of the people of Pakistan. It portrayed the feelings of the nation about Kashmir and is not conflicting to the state’s stance. Yes, Pakistan continues to support the Kashmiris right to self-determination at every platform, but there is nothing wrong in the recent statement of the PM which echoes also with the sentiments of the large Muslim population of Occupied Kashmir who are being persecuted by a brute force. The show of support to Pakistan by waving Pakistani flags doesn’t demonstrate their will? The recent statement of Indian Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj shows the hatred of the Indians towards Pakistan regarding Kashmir and how much detestable is the “K” word for India. Should we do the same and not talk about the rights of the Kashmiri people? The statement of prime minister regarding Kashmir sent a strong message to the international community and India about Pakistan’s stance on Kashmir. The days to settle the issue bilaterally are over because India will always want to have its evil way, now it should be forced upon by the international mediators because India is committing grave human rights offences in the valley. We have seen the results of political diplomacy to solve the issue which brought forward no tangible solutions, and the dispute has become the unresolved conflict of history. So Pakistan is doing the right thing to engage the international community to come forward and stop India from its brutal measures to occupy the people of Kashmir against their will. If India shows an aggressive stance then Pakistan will have to return the favor in the same way and it should not be considered as mere rhetoric because sympathetic feelings towards our Kashmiri brethren are the same in every Pakistani’s heart.
