Restless locals took to the streets on Monday (today) in Peshawar to lodge a strong protest against prolonged power outages in Mahal Terai and adjoining areas.
Baton-wielding protestors blocked Warsak Road and raised anti-government slogans while some of the protestors tried to pull down the main power line through ropes.
The angry locals were of the view that the area is suffering 20 to 22 hours of power outages on a daily basis.
Later, the protestors dispersed when the Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) officials assured them to reduce load shedding duration and change power feeder.
