Former president Pervez Musharraf has been formally given a written contract by the Turkish army for extensive training programs.

The former army chief is going to train the Turkish military in matters the press release has described as “important military exercises.”

Musharraf, coincidentally fluent in the Turkish language, is expected to teach the Turkish army some key strategic maneuvers that they might not have been able to master yet.

“Yes, there is immense respect for the former general,” said Orgeneral Ahmet Cemal, chief of the military’s PR wing. “Not only because of his affinity for the Turkish language and people but also because of his immense military acumen, which he has proved in the heat of action.”

“Well, I am flattered for this introduction by Turkish Rashid Qureshi here,” said a beaming Pervez Musharraf, standing next to him. “I plan to take this very seriously and train the military to the best of my capacity. I’ve seen the Turkish military in action in the recent past and I think there is plenty of room for improvement.”

“I would like to make it clear that we are speaking about the Turkish military’s exercises against Kurdish militants,” said Orgeneral Cemal. “I don’t want people to put two and two together and think he is training us for something else.”
