Reacting exasperatedly to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s remarks in a public rally after a landslide victory in the Azad Jammu and Kashmir general elections, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Jahangir Khan Tareen on Friday said the premier was overly obsessed with sit-ins and his tone and tenor reflected a defeated mindset.
In his address earlier in the day to a public gathering in Muzaffarabad, PM Sharif took a dig at his political rivals and taunted, “Will those who grabbed merely two seats in the Azad Kashmir polls, be able to run a movement in the country?”
Commenting on Sharif’s remarks, Tareen said although the PTI took part in the AJK elections for the first time, it had laid the foundation of change in Azad Kashmir by taking part in the polls.
