Imran wants to disrupt Independence Day celebrations, says Rashid

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rashid on Thursday criticised Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, saying he wanted to create chaos during Independence Day celebrations in August.

Talking to media, the minister said he was unable to understand Imran’s priorities, adding that “yesterday the nation was observing black day over Indian oppression in Kashmir, but Imran divided the nation and announced to start a movement against the government”.

“He (Imran) could have announced to commence his movement in December, January or February but for no reason he chose the month of August for his movement,” Rashid went on to add.
