Despite many hurdles and an unstable path, the democratic government has completed its three years which is a remarkable achievement for PML-N led civilian government. There is no denying the fact that Pakistan of 2016 is to a great extent different from that of 2013 and all this has become possible due to the untiring and strenuous efforts of PML-N led government. Apart from only increase in salaries of the government employees and regularisation of services of the contractual staff, the PPP government failed to do anything worthwhile during its five years long rule. Moreover, plight of people also increased with the persisting energy crisis as no mega project was launched to curb the menace of load-shedding.

In contrast to this, the PML-N government has made remarkable gains in different spheres of life. During the last three years, the government has taken a number of initiatives to bring peace and prosperity to the country. Moreover, instead of adopting a policy of confrontation, the top leadership of PML-N tried hard to adopt a policy of conciliation and took all the stakeholders on board in the best national interest paving the way for democracy to strengthen. Likewise, the government has also initiated score of mega projects for the socio-economic development of the country. The development in the social and economic sector of the country is an ample proof of the government’s firm resolve to put the country on the right track.

To resolve Pakistan’s energy woes, the government has initiated many projects to meet the energy demands of the country. The China Pakistan Economic Corridor project with an estimated cost of $46 billion goes to the credit of PML-N government whose continues efforts from dawn to dusk let this dream come true. The project will certainly prove to be a fate changer not only for Pakistan but for the entire region. With the aim to bring qualitative change in the lives of people, the government is bent upon paying special attention to the needs of people and many steps have been taken in this regard to promote education and improve health care facilities in the country.

Under the visionary leadership of Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, the Government of Pakistan is endeavoring hard to make Pakistan a more peaceful and prosperous country and the Punjab government is equally playing an important role in it. It is hoped that the government will remain sincere in its efforts to make Pakistan a developed country and continuous efforts of the government will change the fate of people living in the country and prove to be a milestone. If the government’s dream of developed Pakistan materialises into reality then that day is not so far when Pakistan will start making progress by leaps and bounds.
