TDAP scandal case against Gilani adjourned till August 25

The federal anti-corruption court on Thursday adjourned the hearing of case regarding involvement of former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and others in the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) scandal till August 25.

During the hearing, Yousuf Raza Gilani, his arrested front man Faisal Sidiqui and other nominated accused in the case including Abid, Javed, Anwar Khan and Adnan Zaman appeared before the court. The hearing was adjourned due to absence of public prosecutor till August 25.

Talking to media persons after the hearing, former prime minister Gillani said the Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah was looking after the matters regarding extension in powers of paramilitary Rangers. He said Pakistan Peoples’ Party supported implementation on National Action Plan.

To a question, he congratulated the chief justice of Sindh High Court over release of his abducted son, Owais Shah, and said he had faced this difficult too.
