A girl was scorched after an accused hurled acid on her over marriage feud on Thursday. Police arrested the culprit.
Police said the incident took place in Ajmeer Nagri locality, Sir Syed Police Station jurisdiction, where accused Usman threw acid on a girl for refusal to tie a knot with him.
The face and body of the girl were scorched in the acid attack and the police arrested the accused who admitted the crime. The affected girl was rushed to a hospital in critical condition.
The culprit had proposed the victim girl but she, rejecting the proposal, had lodged the complaint with police who arrested Usman and he remained in police custody for several days which disgruntled him and led to the heinous crime.
