Girls rule the roost in SSC annual 2016 result

Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (RBISE) on Wednesday announced Secondary School Certificate (SSC) annual examination 2016 result.

Out of all the enrolled 123,359 students, 121,981 including 86,831 regular and 35,150 private students appeared in the examination. The overall success ratio remained 71.35, while a total of 34,761 candidates failed in the exams.

The success ratio of regular candidates was 80.21, while the success ratio of private candidates remained only at 49.46 per cent. Total 66,650 male and 55,331 female students appeared in the exams, while success ratio of male students was 67.13 and female students was 76.13.

SSC annual examination 2016 result declaration and prize distribution ceremony was held in the auditorium of government postgraduate college, Asghar Mall.

Saqib Javed, a student of Cadet College (SSC level) Choa Saidan Shah, Chakwal got the overall first position in the board with 1070 marks.

The overall second position was clinched by Seemabia Saher, a student of Fauji Foundation Girls High School Jand, Attock, with 1069 marks.

The overall second position was also grabbed by a boy, Muhammad Sameed Alam, a student of Cadet College Hassanabdal, by obtaining 1069 marks. The overall third position was clinched by Mohammad Abubakr, a student of Siddeeq Public School, Rawalpindi, as he secured 1068 marks.

Similarly, overall third position was also grabbed by Zaid Ali, a student of Cadet College Hassanabdal, by securing 1068 marks.

According to the result in science group for girls, Seemabia Sahar of Fauji Foundation Girls High School Jand, Attock, secured 1069 marks to remain on top. She was followed by Sobaina Mujeeb, a student of Munir Public Girls High School Chakwal, by getting 1063 marks.

Quratulain, a student of Radiant Secondary School for Girls Iqbal Town, Rawalpindi, got 1063 marks and also remained third in the science group for girls.

Similarly, in science group for boys, Saqib Javed, a student of Cadet College Choa Saidan Shah, Chakwal, secured 1070 marks and stood first. Muhammad Sameed Alam of Cadet College Hassanabdal, Attock, got 1069 marks and remained second. Mohammad Abu Bakar of Siddeeq Public School, Rawalpindi, secured 1068 marks with third position, while Zaid Ali with same 1068 marks also got third position in the science group for boys.

In the general group for girls, Hurrain Majeed, Naimat Numra, and Zainab obtained 995, 991 and 981 marks respectively and stood at first, second and third positions.

In the general group for boys, Aafaq Kamal, Muhammad Bilal and Anique Ather secured 926, 924 and 919 marks respectively and clinched first, second and third positions.

According to BISER Spokesman Arslan Cheema, the candidates can check their result on the board’s website: www.biserwp.edu.pk and www.biserawalpindi.edu.pk. The result can also be checked by sending an SMS at 800296.
