BISE Multan, Faisalabad declare SSC results

Boys secured top two positions while a girl clinched second position in all science and general groups as Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Multan announced the SSC results on Monday. Top three positions of General Group were annexed by the students of religious seminaries.

A total of 1,00,162 students appeared in the SSC exam, out of which 73,350 passed and the percentage of the success remained 73.23%.

In science group, a total number of 76,782 regular candidates appeared in the exam out of which 59,520 could pass the exam making the success ratio 77.51.

In humanities group, a total number of 23,380 candidates appeared in the exam out of which 13,830 candidates passed the exam achieving the success ratio of 69.85.

54,763 boys appeared in the SSC examination and out of them 38,257 passed the exam and the success ratio was 69.85. 45399 girls took part in the examination and out of them 35,093 passed the examination and the success ratio among girls was far better than boys which was 77.29.

76,285 candidates appeared in the exam in science and other groups, out of which 60,311 could pass the exam while pass percentage was 79.06. The students who clinched the top positions are Saif-ur-Rehman of Muslim Public High School, Mumtazabad (Multan) by securing 1085/1100 marks , secured first position in science group while the second position was shared by Muhammad Huzaifa of Lodhran and Maryam Shaukat of Lodhran with 1,084 marks.

The third position was annexed by Muhammad Shehzad from village Lothar with 1,080 marks.

Punjab Minister of Special Education Asif Saeed Manais has congratulated the position holder students, their parents and educational institutions concerned. He said that since the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) government took charge, it has brought several reforms in the BISE to facilitate the students and to check the unfair means.

The BISE Multan is one of the best boards of Pakistan according to many international surveys and one should feel privileged to appear through this board, the minister said.

He said that better board systems, better exam settings and better exam checking system lead to a better overall education system. We should focus on quality of education in Punjab, he said.

BISE Faisalabad announces SSC results:

Meanwhile, Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Faisalabad announced the result of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Examination 2016, on Wednesday.

Parliamentarians including Faqeer Hussain Dogar, Haji Kahlid Saeed, Haji Ilyas Ansari, Azad Ali Tabassum, Rashida Yaqoob, Mian Muhammad Rafique, GCUF Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Ali, BISE Chairman Prof Ghulam Muhammad Jhaggar and Controller Examination Dr Muhammad Zafar Iqbal Tahir uploaded the result on website by pressing button on computer in a simple ceremony held at BISE auditorium.

Heads of government and private schools, teachers, parents and relatives of position holder students and a large number of people were present in the ceremony.

The prize distribution ceremony was curtailed due to sudden demise of board official Abdul Jabbar Sahutra of secrecy branch a few minutes before beginning.

According to gazette notification, Shahram Tabassum Roll No 446492 of LaSalle High Scholl Peoples Colony No.1 Faisalabad secured overall first position by getting 1080/1100. Afaq Mahmood Roll No 452084 of Divisional Public School and College Faisalabad got second position by getting 1079/1100 marks and Fatima Roll No 412097 of Sandal College/School girls section Millat Road Faisalabad secured 1078/1100 marks and stood third in the examination.

A total of 145,827 candidates appeared in the examination, of whom 106,426 were declared successful, thus showing a success ratio of 72.98.

As many as 95,256 candidates appeared in science group, of whom 73,174 were declared successful while 50,571 candidates appeared in the general group examination, out of which 33,252 managed to pass the exam.

Later, prizes and medals were distributed among the position holders.
