Local police arrested two culprits involved in molesting and blackmailing a university student here on Monday.
Police officials said that some nine months back, Atif Hameed and his associate Shan Asim made a job offer to a B-Pharmacy female student of the Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU) Multan and took her to a hotel in Bara Market where they sexually assaulted her.
The accused had, the officials said, made a video through which they used to blackmail the girl, who hails from Muzaffargarh.
Upset with their repeated blackmailing, the girl student approached the police which conducted a raid and arrested both the culprits along with their mobile phones containing the video. A case has been registered against the accused and investigation is in progress.
