The Peshawar High Court (PHC) suspended death sentences awarded by the military court to three persons and sought a reply from the federal government.
The PHC bench comprised Justice Yahya Afridi and Justice Waqar Ahmed Seth.
The military court had awarded death sentence to accused Muhammad Tayyab, Muhammad Ayaz and Muhammad Jalal on terrorism charges and the sentence was confirmed by the army chief.
During the hearing the court was told that a case in this connection was under hearing in the Supreme Court. The court on this suspended the death sentence and sought a reply from the federal government.
