A Pakistan Awami Tehreek delegation, led by part’s Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, will attend a meeting of the joint opposition on Terms of Reference (ToRs) to be held in Islamabad on Tuesday.

Briefing newsmen here on Monday, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz had lost all moral grounds to continue to rule the country after the Model Town incident and the revelations made in the Panama Leaks.

He said the prime minister had failed to fulfill his obligations towards the people of the country.

Gandapur said the government had failed at all fronts, be it the appointment of Election Commission members, justice in the Model Town tragedy, national census or the third phase of local government elections. He said the whole nation had its eyes on the opposition.

Gandapur said that this consultative meeting on the ToRs was of utmost importance as it would determine the future course of action of the opposition. He said the PAT would give concrete suggestions for the removal of the present rulers during the meeting.

PAT spokesman Noorullah Sadiq told newsmen that on July 31, an important meeting would be held under the leadership of PAT Chairman Dr Tahirul Qadri in Lahore. He said all the opposition parties had been invited to attend this consultative meeting being organised by the PAT.
