Filmmaker Karan Johar, who wears many hats, producer, screenwriter, costume designer, and actor, has denied rumours of him making his singing debut with upcoming movie Baar Baar Dekho and branded himself as “tone-deaf.”
On being asked about it, Karan, 44, laughed off the rumours, saying, “Haha! It’s the funniest thing I have heard! I am tone-deaf and would never sing.”
The DNA quoted a source, as saying, “The songs are composed by Amal Malik, Jasleen Royal, Arko, Bilal Saeed and Badshah. Karan, who is always involved in the music of his films, loved one of the tracks.”
“Though it is believed that he was quite kicked about the possibility of singing it, he told the makers that he did not have any official training, so he wasn’t sure whether he’d be able to pull it off,” the insider added.
Baar Baar Dekho, which is being directed by Nitya Mehra, stars Katrina Kaif and Sidharth Malhotra.
The movie, produced by Karan, is slated to hit theatres on 9 September.
