Indian brutalities in IHK exposed its secular face: Salman Bashir

Former Ambassador Salman Bashir has said that Indian brutalities in Indian-held Kashmir have exposed its secular face and its empty slogans of championing democratic norms.

Talking to Radio Pakistan he said that India is denying well-recognised  right of self-determination of Kashmiris. Despite Indian nefarious and underhand tactics, the quest for a right of self-determination is getting stronger in Kashmiri people.

Replying to a question he said, “It is a stated position of Pakistan that the world should recognise the right of self-determination of Kashmiri People. It is a fundamental right available to every citizen of Kashmir irrespective of his age and gender.”

He further said, “It is a matter of serious concern that Muslims are being victimised in every part of the world. We must understand the historical dimension of suppression and atrocities being inflicted on Muslims of the world.”
