Sindh Chief Minister Advisor for Information and Archives Moula Bux Chandio hailed security forces for safe and sound recovery of Awais Shah, the son of Sindh High Court Chief Justice Sajjad Ali Shah, and termed it a great success.
Moula Bux Chandio in a statement issued on Tuesday congratulated Justice Sajjad Ali Shah on the safe recovery of his son from Tank in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). He said the operation against terrorists would continue with full might and no one would be allowed to play with the life of people.
He said: “The operation in Karachi is also continuing and terrorists are now on the run. Sindh police is fully capable to eradicate crimes from Karachi and other parts of the province.”
Chandio also congratulated Sindh government on the recovery of the CJ’s son and said they were committed to restore peace in Karachi. He said they respected security forces for their bold acts and appreciate their act of recovering Awais.
He said the Sindh government was making all out efforts to provide peaceful atmosphere to the people of the province, especially Karachi where operation against terrorists and criminals was going on. He further said that Karachi was the economic hub of Pakistan; therefore, it needed durable peace for business and trade activities.
He said the Sindh government was committed to protecting lawyers’ community in the province and would leave no stone unturned in this regard. “People need justice and it will be possible when lawyers are provided full security.”
Chandio said that a handful of people wanted to destroy the peace of Karachi which will not be tolerated at any cost. “Terrorists are enemies of people and country, and they will never succeed in their nefarious designs.”
He said: “Sindh government has restored peace in Karachi by rendering immense sacrifices. We also appreciate army for its bold action against terrorists and anti-state elements in the country.”
LAWYERS END COURTS BOYCOTT AFTER AWAIS SHAH’S RECOVERY
The city lawyers ended the boycott of courts after the recovery of Sindh High Court (SHC) chief justice’s son Owais Shah on Tuesday.
On the appeal of Pakistan Bar Council, the lawyers of Sindh High Court, City Court, Malir Court and other courts ended the boycott and started working after the release of SHC CJ’s son.
Sindh IG Police AD Khawaja, members of Pakistan Bar Council, Sindh Bar Council, Karachi Bar Association and other senior officials visited the residence of Chief Justice Sajjad Ali Shah for congratulating him on the safe retrieval of his son on Tuesday.
It is pertinent to add that Awais Shah was released from the kidnapers’ custody from Tank area, after which he was shifted to Karachi in a plane. After his recovery from the custody of terrorists, DG Rangers Maj Gen Bilal Akbar accompanied by Awais Shah went to the home of SHC chief justice and congratulated him on the recovery of his son.
