Following the recovery of Sindh High Court Chief Justice Sajjad Ali Shah’s son Awais Ali Shah, several black goats have been sacrificed as an omen to ward off evil eye.
Earlier, Awais Ali Shah has been recovered during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) near Tank district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), the military’s media wing said on Tuesday.
Inter-Service Public Relations Director General Lt. General Asim Bajwa disclosed Shah’s recovery on Tuesday through a pre-dawn tweet.
Rangers personnel drove Shah to his home on Tuesday morning as people in the neighbourhood distributed sweets to celebrate his recovery.
Shah was reunited with his family around 9:30am. “I got a call from General Raheel Sharif at 3:00am informing me my son has been rescued,” SHC CJ Sajjad Ali Shah said while addressing the media after being reunited with his son.
“Gen Raheel told me he was personally monitoring the case and informed me of my son’s safe recovery,” he added. “Pakistan Army is the only one to credit for the recovery of my son,” the SHC CJ further said.
Appreciating the army’s efforts for his son’s recovery the SHC CJ said, “The army chief was kind enough to let me speak to my son an hour after his recovery. He was also kind to arrange a helicopter for him from Tank back to Karachi.”
