Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Tuesday said that he has opposed “illegal demands” of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan.

“I oppose illegal demands of Imran Khan, but I endorse him against Mian Sahib (Nawaz Sharif),” Bilawal said while addressing a press conference in Islamabad.

Criticising the prime minister, Bilawal said that Nawaz Sharif should act as the premier and not as a businessman.

“Mian Sahib met an Indian steel tycoon and not Hurriyet leaders; he needs to think whether he is prime minister or a businessman,” he added.

The PPP chairman also slammed the government for failing to appoint a foreign minister, saying it was the high time to work on Pakistan’s foreign policy as it was the only democratic country in the Mulsim world.

On Kashmir issue, Bilawal said that there was a need to find a peaceful solution to the dispute.

He said the PPP would continue to raise its voice on each constitutional forum for the accountability of the government. “It is our democratic right to demand accountability of the government,” concluded Bilawal.
