36 UCs declared high-risk in connection with anti-polio campaign

A 3-day anti-polio campaign will be launched from July 25 in Rawalpindi and as many 37 union councils (UCs) of Rawalpindi have been declared high-risk on this count.

District management has completed all the arrangements for administering polio drops to the children. Rawalpindi DCO Talat Mehmood Gondal urged the representatives of the health department and its allied departments to make the campaign successful and seek cooperation from all the respective departments. The goal is to make sure no child is omitted from vaccination. Polio drops will be administered to children in 37 high-risk UCs of Rawalpindi during the anti-polio drive.

District health officer said that anti-polio drive will continue in Taxila, Cantonment areas, Murree, and Rawalpindi rural areas.
