Central Information Secretary of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and ex-information minister Qamar Zaman Kaira has said that his party supports democracy in the country and not corruption and loot of the ruling party.
Talking to media persons here on Sunday, Kaira said that democracy in the country was weakened due to the attitude of the government.
He said that PPP will oppose any step against democracy and will continue to play its role for strengthening the democracy in the county.
Kaira alleged that PPP was victimized during regimes of different political forces throughout the history and it faced the courts but never bowed to unconstitutional steps.
However, the ruling political leaders were not ready to present them for accountability, he added.
The PPP Information Secretary vowed for elimination of corruption and accountability of the corrupt rulers.
