A local court has extended interim bail of Senator Hamdullah until July 20 in human rights activist Marvi Sirmed harassment case.
Additional Sessions Judge Raja Asif heard the case regarding the alleged harassment.
Counsel for the petitioner named Asif Mumtaz filed advocacy certificate in the court while Senator Hamdullah presented himself before the court.
Mumtaz pleaded the court to grant time for discussion over bail plea filed by the defense. The court accepted the request and extended Hamdullah’s interim bail.
While talking to the media after the hearing, Hamdullah said that he has travelled all the way from Balochistan to appear before the court today.
He complained that he is making his presence sure in every hearing of the case, but the petitioner doesn’t bother to do so. However, he completely trusts the court, Hamdullah added.
Earlier, his bail was extended in the last hearing until today. Hamdullah was booked for allegedly verbally abusing and trying to physically attack Marvi Sirmed during a live programme at a private television channel.
