The actor cum model Qandeel Baloch was reportedly murdered by her brother in her hometown in Multan, according to RPO Multan.
Initial reports suggest Qandeel was shot dead by her brother, becoming a victim of honour killing.
Qandeel’s brother had been threatening her over her Facebook posts and videos, said the police.
Earlier, TV channels reported that Qandeel was shot by her brother. Police are now saying she was “strangled to death” at her Multan residence.
Three weeks ago, Qandeel had written to the interior minister, the director general of the Federal Investigation Authority (FIA) and the senior superintendent of Islamabad asking them to provide security to her and has requested action against those who made her identification documents public via social media.
She had said her life is in danger and that she is being threatened via calls on her mobile number and that she did not have security measures installed in her home.
Baloch, who set in motion events that led to the suspension of Mufti Qawi’s membership from the Ruet-e-Hilal committee, was once married and has a young son. On Wednesday, Aashiq Hussain of Kot Addu claimed in television interviews that he was once married to Baloch.
Soon after the interview appeared on television, Baloch admitted that she had married once but was divorced. However, both sides gave conflicting accounts of the marriage.

A cheap publicity seeking girl from one of the most backward culture of Pakistan, met her fate. The higher you fly, the harder you fell. Sorry, she was murdered by her own brother but this is what could be expected.
What honour is there in killing your own sister?. A brother is supposed to protect his sister. It is murder–period.
There is no honour in killing someone…there are many other people who do much more disgusting thing…they all are also supposed to be killed than..

Another coverup provided by the media. Powerful sources are trying to derail the Investigations. FIA was looking into murder as well apart from honor killing.
It's a murder and QB was already asking for protection. Honor killing by her brother is just a coverup. I hope some journalist tries digging into this as well. It is very easy to get away using a news cover of honor killing.
No one has right to kill sham on you
Much of it is conflicting and controversial. She was murdered by none else but her own brother and in their own home. The media sometimes over exposes some and endanger their lives. She also was victim of the media over expose. She had overestimated her designs without thinking of the consquences. Tragic though. Is it her brother only or more – anybody's guess.
