Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousuf on Friday said that they support the demand of the FPCCI for one-year multiple Saudi visa for businessmen while Hajj quota for the business community will also be seriously considered.
He said arrangements for Hajj have been improved and that the opinion of stakeholders is very important for further improvement. The minister said this while talking to a delegation led by FPCCI President Abdul Rauf Alam.
Vice Presidents of FPCCI Zafar Bakhtwari and Sajida Zulfiquar, group leader and former president ICCI Khalid Jaweed, Karim Aziz Malik, Malik Sohail and others were also present on the occasion.
Sardar Yousuf said that they are trying to increase the Hajj quota so that maximum number of people can avail the facility and that 25 nominees of the apex chamber will be sent to Hajj on the last flight.
Earlier, FPCCI President Abdul Rauf Alam said multiple visas for at least 400 traders will reduce cost of doing business and increase bilateral trade between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
He said Hajj arrangements have been improved significantly which indicates positive efforts by the concerned minister. He demanded special Hajj quota for the business community.
