Protest rallies have been held Friday across the country against Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir.

People in large numbers have participated in rallies. While addressing the participants, different speakers urged the international community to take notice of the callous use of force in Indian-held Kashmir.

Pakistan People’s Party staged protest outside press club in Peshawar to mark solidarity with Kashmiris.

Other cities including Loralai and Chaman also observed protests.

Protestors raised slogans in favour of the Chief of Army Staff and Pakistan Army and urged international powers to step forward to solve burning issue of Kashmir.

They have demanded the government to take a decisive step to end the violence in Kashmir.

At least 40 Kashmiris have embraced martyrdom so far as Indian army unleashed a lethal force to suppress demonstrations. Kashmiris had taken to streets following the extrajudicial killing of Burhan Wani, a freedom fighter.

Wani was shot dead along with two other fighters by occupied forces and police in Bundoora village on Friday, 85km south of Srinagar, prompting mass mourning across the valley.
