Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad was rushed on Friday to the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) following complaints of chest pain and dehydration, an official of NICVD told PPI news agency.
The official said that the governor was brought to the emergency after reportedly suffering from dehydration. The team of experts conducted an angiography and other tests and termed his condition stable. He said angiography report was clear but doctors shifted the governor to a private ward for further observation.
NICVD Administrator Dr Hameedullah Malik, when contacted, told PPI that Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan was brought to the hospital following discomfort in his chest where doctors took his angiography. He said Dr Khan’s condition was stable now and he would be discharged from the hospital within a few hours.
Sources at NICVD said that DG Rangers Sindh Major General Bilal Akbar also visited the NICVD to inquire after the health of the governor.
The spokesman of Sindh governor said that Dr Khan was shifted to the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases following complaints of dehydration where doctors performed his necessary tests. He said condition of governor was stable now and he would be discharged from the hospital soon.
