59 arrested for trying to cross Iran border illegally

Pakistan Coast Guards (PCGs) on Friday arrested 59 persons in Balochistan who were trying to cross Iran border illegally.

The PCGs arrested seven Afghan nationals and 52 Pakistani citizens during checking at Shah Jahan Road check-post in Nalient and Panwan Road check-post in Jiwani, Balochistan. The arrested persons did not have legal travelling documents and were attempting to cross Iran border illegally.

The detainees were handed over to the FIA after initial investigation. The PCG have detained 800 persons since January to July 2016, who tried to cross Iran border illegally, and all the accused have been handed over to the FIA for further investigation.
