A full court meeting of the Sindh High Court (SHC) judges has been called today (Thursday) to form a framework and recovery measures for the SHC Chief Justice Sajjad Ali Shah’s kidnapped son, Barrister Awais Ali Shah.
As per sources, the meeting of SHC senior judges was held on Wednesday in which they expressed concerns and dissatisfaction on the measures taken by the relevant agencies to recover kidnapped barrister as the authorities remained unable to detect the case even after three weeks of his arrest.
All the judges of the SHC will assemble together on the SHC premises on Thursday at 1 PM and consider the issue.
The son of Justice Sajjad Ali Shah went missing in mysterious manner outside a super store in DHA, Karachi, on 20th of June 2016 and his whereabouts were unknown since then. It can be seen in CCTV footage of the store on aired after his kidnapping that Awais was busy in shopping. Later, his car was found abandoned near Punjab Chowrangi.
The Sindh government had formed a high-profile committee to probe the case and to take measure for his safe recovery but it had produced no outcome up till now.
