CPEC to enhance industrial activities in Gwadar

 

The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will enhance economic and industrial activities in Gwadar and will help develop the Balochistan province, Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Resources Jam Kamal Khan said on Tuesday.

He said this project will also positively contribute towards national security and solidarity. He said that a special security division of the Pak Army has been created for the security of Chinese workers and experts working on CPEC projects.

Jam Kamal said the Hub bypass road will be constructed at a cost of Rs 13.5 billion from Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s special fund to connect Karachi with Balochistan.

He said, under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, the Balochistan province is moving forward to achieve the goal of development and prosperity.

The minister said these road projects will be completed on time, enabling people from Lasbella to reach Karachi and other cities of Sindh with ease, besides promoting trade between these areas.

He said that after completion of the CPEC, the Gwadar seaport will serve as the gateway to the region, adding, the CPEC will not only reduce unemployment and poverty but will also become a source of economic stability and mutual social benefits.
