‘Revenge of the Worthless’, is set to release on 22nd of July.

Revenge of the Worthless has been cleared by the Central Board of Film Censors (CBFC).

A realistic narrative film portraying events that took place in the area of Swat Valley and will hit the cinemas across the country.

Produced under the banner of Hunerkada Films, Revenge of the Worthless depicts the struggles of a few unsung heroes during the 2009 Swat insurgency. The film features an ensemble cast of actors Jamal Shah, Firdous Jamal, Maira Khan, Shamil Khan and Ayub Khosa.

It speaks about the effects of the incident on cultural narratives and the lives of the people residing in the region. The background score of the movie has been produced by Mehdi Raza whereas the soundtrack includes the vocals talents of Jamal Shah, Qawwal Zafar Raza and a Pashto rap-song by newcomer Sunny Khan, amongst others.

The movie is primarily in Urdu, featuring glimpses of Pashto and English.  Speaking to media, spokesperson for film maker group Habib Mushtaq highlighted that the group was all set to launch some big banner films in 2016 to boost Pakistani cinema.
