PM Nawaz to resume his office responsibilities from today

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will formally assume the charge of his responsibilities as the chief executive of Pakistan after an interval of over 45 days stay in London to undergo an open heart surgery.

The prime minister will hold meetings with federal ministers and other aides to discuss the political situation of the country and the government matters waiting to be addressed due to his long absence of.

The issue that needs immediate attention is the deadlock with the opposition in a parliament committee which was set up to decide the terms of reference (ToRs) of a judicial commission that will inquire into the Panama Leaks.

The opposition has warned the government to launch a protest movement if the government wouldn’t accept the ToRs agreed by the opposition parties.

Nawaz Sharif returned home from London on Saturday, kicking off discussions among analysts about what he should now do to secure the future of his government.
