Day Care Center inaugurated at Civil Secretariat

The Punjab government has established a daycare center for the infants and kids of the female officials and officers of the provincial government to provide a shelter and security to them during the duty hours of the mothers. For this purpose, 15 aides have been appointed who will work in the supervision of their coordinator MS Nabeeha Sajid. Punjab Additional Chief Secretary Shamail Ahmad Khawaja inaugurated the daycare center at Civil Secretariat Lahore, which has been completed with a total cost of Rs 2.6 million in a portion of the newly constructed multi-purpose building at the Civil Secretariat. The daycare center comprises of learning hall, infant area, toddlers area, wide corridor, pantry, mothers’ feeding area all equipped with CCTV camera system, fire alarm system and air conditioning system along with well-decorated furniture and other facilities. Shamail Ahmad Khawaja, while chatting with the kids present on the occasion, termed the center an Eid gift to the female government officials and officers of Punjab government and vowed to plan more and more such projects for the welfare of the working women in the province. Additional Secretary (Admn) Sahibzadi Waseema Umer, Additional Secretary (Welfare) Mudassar Riaz Malik and other senior officers were present on the occasion besides the office-bearers of Punjab Secretariat Employees Association.
