Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) organised a protest public rally on a highway near Shakrial against suicide attack near Masjid-e-Nabvi in Saudi Arabia on Friday.
The rally was attended by a large number of people from different walks of life including workers of PTI, traders, social workers and women.
The Rawalpindi PTI District Information Secretary Sajid Ali Qureshi led the rally and participants of the rally were holding placards and banners inscribed with the slogans to safeguard the holy place at all costs. They resolved to keep the sanctity of the hallowed and blessed places of Islam on the cost of their lives.
Addressing the participants, Qureshi said this attack was an attack on our faith. He strongly condemned the attack and said that the heinous crime could not have been carried out by a Muslim. “This can be a conspiracy against the peace of the world, the notice of which should immediately be taken by all the world leaders, including the UN, to block the developing sense of aggression of non-Muslims against Islam,” he added.
He further said every Muslim of the world is ready to sacrifice his life to hold the sanctity of the holy places up at every cost. He asked the government of Pakistan to take this issue with the world leaders and United Nations to give a strong message to the world and especially to the terrorists that Pakistani people and armed forces are the security guards of Masjid-e-Nabvi and other holy places.
The participants of the rally stressed the Muslim world to shun their differences and unite together to fight against the conspiracies of enemies of Islam. They also expressed sympathies with the families of the victims of the attack and said, “200 million people of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan stand shoulder to shoulder with our Saudi brethren in fighting the menace of terrorism.”
They also reiterated their commitment to the safety, security and territorial integrity of Saudi Arabia, especially of the holy places.
